CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A Charlotte business just north of uptown was evacuated after a suspicious substance was found late Tuesday morning.
The U-Haul storage business at 1224 North Tryon Street was evacuated around 11:30 a.m. after what turned out to be a white, powdery cleaning substance was located inside.
A Haz-Mat crew and the Charlotte Fire Department arrived on scene and investigated before workers were allowed back in around 1 p.m.
No one was injured during the incident.
