CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Rain moved through the Charlotte region Sunday night and into Monday morning but gave way to mild temperatures.
The rain started Sunday evening after moving from the southeast, bringing patches of heavy showers during the overnight hours.

Monday was mostly cloudy and mild across the area, with highs in the 60s.

Tuesday will see partly sunny skies with highs back up to around 60.
"Tuesday will be cloudy skies but the rain chances will increase later in the evening," Sprinkle said. "We could see bands of heavy rains in the evening."
The chance for rain is back in the forecast at 70 percent Tuesday night into Wednesday.
It will be cooler on Wednesday, with highs struggling back to near 50°.
