School bus, downed power lines
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Crews responded to the scene of a school bus accident involving downed overhanging lines.
The scene was in the 1400 block of Lilac Road in Charlotte next to Freedom Park in South Charlotte.
The bus involved is #803 was carring high school students from Myers Park.
Duke Energy crews removed the downed wires from the bus, and CMS officials say it appears the wires are cable TV lines.
It appears the school bus clipped the overhanging wires, causing them to to break and land on top of the bus.
The seven students on board are currently awaiting a replacement bus.
Non injuries were reported.
