YORK COUNTY, S.C. -- A ruptured water line in York County is expected to impact traffic on both local roads as well as I-77 Wednesday evening.

The water main break has closed all westbound lanes on SC 161, or Celanese Road, between Mt. Gallant Road and India Hook Road in the Rock Hill area of York County.

Officials expect traffic delays on I-77 southbound during the afternoon commute in the area.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

At this time, authorities have not said when repairs will be completed and lanes of traffic reopened.
