NEW YORK (AP) — Janet Jackson says she recognized her brother Michael's drug problem, and tried to help, but says he rebuffed her attempts to intervene.

She says her brother realized the whole family wanted to help him kick his habit, but that he wasn't ready to acknowledge he had a problem.

"You can't make 'em drink the water," Jackson tells ABC News in an interview airing Wednesday.

She blames Dr. Conrad Murray for Michael Jackson's death.

Prosecutors in Los Angeles are weighing charges against Murray, the singer's personal physician, who told police he administered a powerful anesthetic to Jackson shortly before he died June 25.

Janet Jackson says she hasn't seen "This Is It," the documentary spotlighting her late brother.

"I don't know if I will ever see it," she says.
