HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- Time to break out the tartan plaid and head to Huntersville for the annual Loch Norman Highland Games.
This is the 24th year the celebration of all things Scottish has been celebrated at Rural Hill, the historic plantation home of Major John and Violet Davidson.
Visitors can enjoy Celtic music, authentic food, athletic competitions like hammer throws and caber tosses, and clan tents that show off Scottish family heritage.
NBC Charlotte reporter Diana Rugg convinced world champion caber-tosser Larry Brock to show us how to properly toss the "telephone pole."
Tickets to the Highland Games can be purchased online at Rural Hill for Sunday, 8am - 4:30pm. Adults cost $11 and kids are $8. Parking is $5.
