Charlotte challenge center offers 'ninja warrior' and personal growth workout

Indoor obstacle course opens in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotteans can now train like American Ninja Warriors without the pressure of competition.

Kinetic Heights is a new indoor, obstacle-based challenge and fitness center located in Charlotte.

The fitness center aims to bring families, teams and the community closer together by providing them with transformative experiences that are empowering and inspiring.

The idea of the center was formed in 2013 by a couple of Charlotte dads.

"We decided to use the phenomenon of ninja warrior to engage people to have fun, healthy experiences as a family," co-owner Jim Guimond said. "We have adapted this course so people of all ages can do it."

The course is challenging. Guimond says they wanted to make it so it takes grit and determination to complete and builds resilience. The center provides spotters to make it safe for participants.

"We want people to have fun while providing the opportunity for them to grow and be challenged."

Kinetic Heights offers all access passes, ground passes, classes, parties, team building programs and offseason conditioning.
