ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Piedmont Medical Center has lifted visitation restrictions meant to prevent the spread of the H1N1 virus.

In October 2009, the hospital limited visits to people 18 and older, meaning children weren't allowed in unless they were getting treatment.

Officials say they decided to drop the restriction due to a sharp decline in the number of H1N1 cases nationwide.
