There's a major breakthrough in treatment for veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.

A Florida researcher is seeing success with a new therapy called accelerated resolution.

Military Associated Trauma Treatment Education and Research Services (MATTERS) are trying it out

It’s a psycho therapy which focuses on rapid eye movement and the memory system—and it works without the patient reliving their trauma.

Dr. Carrie Elk says, "This is a real game changer. There are people out there really suffering, there are families suffering... The suicide rate is climbing"

MATTERS is a non-profit organization and they are still conducting research before the treatment is available nation-wide
