'American Ninja Warrior' finale inspiring fitness

A North Carolina man is competing for $1 million in Monday night's 'American Ninja Warrior' finale.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Monday night at 8 on NBC Charlotte, the finale of 'American Ninja Warrior' will crown a champion and award $1 million.

Contestants must traverse an insane obstacle course while a timer clicks down to zero. North Carolina's own Neil Craver is a finalist.

"It's really insidious-- it's to come up with things that are next to impossible to do," said host Matt Iseman. "And then, once someone does it, we come up with another obstacle that's even harder."

At Defy Gravity Charlotte Trampoline Park, worker Joseph Seymore is trying out their own version of the 'Ninja' course.

"I love the challenges behind it. I love the sheer athleticism that it takes," said Seymore. "I'm going to try out for it next year. I use this place to train a little bit. My goal is to just get past the first stage. That's what I want."

Seymore says 'American Ninja Warrior' is helping to make exercise enjoyable again.

"With our 'Ninja' course, it helps make fitness fun. I have people tell me all the time, 'Oh my gosh, this is a workout. I wasn't prepared for it.'"
