CHARLOTTE, NC -- The NewsChannel 36 I-Team came through for a Charlotte man who says the city wrecked his driveway by paving and repaving his street.
Gary Waters lives on Bramble Place and says because the city paved so much, the level of the street rose above the gutters and sent the rainwater down his driveway.
Over the course of two years, the water eventually washed Waters' driveway away. NewsChannel 36 Consumer Investigator Bill McGinty got an email from Waters and called the city to help end the two years of driveway washouts.
After a call to the Charlotte Department of Transportation by the I-Team, Waters got word the city would fix the problem it created when they replace gutters and the street.
Tuesday, the city of Charlotte followed through with its promise to fix the driveway and repaved the entire thing.
