CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Eleven students and a bus driver were treated by Medic Wednesday morning after a school bus accident.
It happened around 8:45 a.m. on Freedom Drive at the intersection of Toddville Road. The accident involved the school bus and a tractor-trailer.
Sixty students were on the bus at the time of the accident, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools spokesperson. Bus number 106 was headed to Whitewater Middle School.
According to Medic, all 12 patients had very minor injuries. They were transported to Carolinas Medical Center and Presbyterian Hospital as a precaution.
