YORK COUNTY, S.C. -- Two students were airlifted to the hospital following a car accident after school.

The accident happened on Bates Harvey Road around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Authorities in York County confirm two of the students were airlifted to the hospital.

School officials said four of their students were involved in the crash. Clover Schools were in session to make up a day from February, officials said.

Investigators said the driver, Justin McBeth, 19, was speeding in his 2002 Ford Explorer when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road. McBeth over-corrected left and the SUV flipped multiple times. One passenger was ejected, while McBeth became entrapped in the SUV.

Three juvenile passengers and McBeth, all seniors at Clover High, were transported to the hospital.

McBeth is now facing charges for driving too fast for conditions. According to Highway Patrol, alcohol is not a factor in the crash.

On Clover High School's Facebook Page, officials asked for prayer.
