CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A two alarm fire broke out inside a south Charlotte apartment complex early Wednesday evening.

The fire began around 6 p.m. in the 200 block of Dinadan Drive near Nations Ford and Arrowood Roads.

According to the Charlotte Fire Department, heavy smoke and fire was visible from the apartment.

A total of 48 firefighters responded, bringing the blaze under control in about 20 minutes.

Authorities said no one was injured, but multiple residents were displaced.
