$2 million winning Powerball ticket sold in South Carolina

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Someone in the Midlands is now $2 million richer.

The South Carolina Education Lottery says a $2 million ticket was bought at the Sunco at 1083 Broad St. in Sumter for Saturday night’s drawing. 

The ticket sold in Sumter matched all five white ball numbers drawn. Because the ticket holder purchased PowerPlay for an extra $1, the $1 million prize was increased to $2 MILLION.

Here were the winning numbers; 

4, 6, 16, 30, and 56  

Powerball: 18   

Check your tickets. More than to 9,800 players in South Carolina hold tickets for prizes from $4 up to $2 MILLION.  Of these, more than 4,400 players purchased PowerPlay to see their non-jackpot winnings, excluding the Match 5 prize, multiplied by two.  Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
