CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two Charlotte teens have been charged with trying to break into a Cotswold area home this weekend.
Officers were called to a home in the 800 block of Queen Charlotte’s Court at 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
"The homeowner called 9-11 to report observing two suspects attempting to get into his home through a rear window,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in a statement. “Once officers arrived they observed two individuals matching the suspects descriptions running from behind the home down the street.”
Police say 18-year-old Antonis Bernard Screthen and 17-year-old Zachary Deyshaun Spann were found a short time later on Water Oak Road.
Both men were charged with first-degree burglary and resisting a public officer.
