STATESVILLE, N.C. -- A second woman has said she was sexually harassed by the former head of a police agency's domestic violence unit.

Lisa Mangiardi says she sought help from the Iredell County sheriff's office. She says after she filed charges against her husband, detective Richard Jenkins III propositioned her and began stalking her.

Mangiardi was added Tuesday to a lawsuit filed in March by Suzanne Wick. Wick also says Jenkins sexually harassed her and stalked her.

The lawsuit seeks more than $10,000 in damages for emotional distress. Sheriff Phillip Redmond also is named as a defendant.

The lawsuit claims that Jenkins deliberately targets domestic violence victims because they are more vulnerable to abuse.

Telephone messages left for Jenkins and Redmond were not immediately returned Tuesday.
