Accident knocks down power poles

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – An accident along Providence Road this morning knocked down two poles causing delays for morning commuters.
The accident happened around 7:45 a.m. along Providence Road at the intersection of S. Sharon Amity Road.
The road was closed while crews worked to secure the poles. The road reopened around 8:30 a.m. Crews will return to the scene after the morning commute to fix the damage.
There’s no word yet on what caused the accident.
