CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have reopened part of 36th street in north Charlotte after an ammonia leak Tuesday morning.  

 Police said the incident happened around 7:15 a.m. and closed the 36th street between North Tryon and North Davidson  streets. 
 
The reported leak happened at Herron Brothers Ice Company. 
 
Police reopened open the street around 9: 15 a.m. after the Charlotte Fire Department cleared the scene. 
 
No injures were reported during the incident.
