TEGA CAY, S.C. -- Tega Cay Water Services notified customers Saturday night of yet another sanitary sewer overflow.

Saturday night, Utilities Inc. says a blockage in the sewer main caused a sanitary sewer overflow from a manhole. Officials believe an accumulation of grease led to the overflow.

The company says a "due to a rapid response by local employees the pipe was cleared and the spill contained".

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control was contacted, authorities say.

DHEC says Lake Wylie was not impacted by the spill.

The site of the overflow has since been cleaned and lime has been applied.
