CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- No one was injured in a small apartment fire in west Charlotte Monday morning.
The Charlotte Fire Department was called to the Lakewood Manor apartment complex off of Watson Drive around 7 a.m. after heavy smoke was seen coming from one of the units.
West Boulevard near Remount Road was briefly blocked both ways while crews investigated the scene.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly. There were no reported injuries.
CMPD opened lanes in both directions around 7:40 a.m.
