GREAT FALLS, S.C. -- The Chester County Sheriff's Office said they are investigating a woman's death that happened Monday night.
Deputies were called to Old Winnsboro Road in Great Falls around 8:30 p.m. because a neighbor heard loud noises from a home nearby.
Authorities said they checked the home and found 57-year-old Alfreda Wertz Hinson dead from a gunshot wound.
Deputies said the death appears to be a homicide and is under investigation by the Chester County Sheriff's Office, the Coroner's Office and SLED.
