HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- Commuters in Huntersville may see some trouble on the road during their commute this week. Some lanes will be shutdown at one of the town's busiest intersections.
Commuters traveling through the intersection at Gilead Road and Reese Boulevard will want to give themselves some extra time this week.
Starting Monday, motorists should expect land closures and traffic shifts as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities workers repair a waterline leak at the intersection.
The daytime and nighttime closures will affect both east and westbound sections of Gilead Road in front of Rosedale Retail Center and Presbyterian Hospital and on Reese Boulevard.
Utility officials say the hospital won't be out of water during the repair and the work should be finished by Friday.
