CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officer is accused of driving drunk in Cabarrus County.
Beatrice Andres was charged with DWI around 4:30 Saturday morning.
She was stopped along Highway 49 near Blackwelder Road and blew a .09, which is just over the .08 legal limit.
The department says she's been placed on administrative leave pending a departmental investigation. Andres has been with the department since September of 2007 and is with the University City Division.
