CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- More than 600 Big and Little Sisters and Brothers got a big surprise from Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton Tuesday night.
The 2011 Rookie of the Year crashed the Big Holiday Bash during the talent show portion of the event. He talked to the 'littles' about his favorite childhood Christmas memories and thanked the 'bigs' for dedicating their time to shaping the children of the Charlotte community.
Newton insisted he wasn't the only role model there, making sure to shout out the volunteers and encourage others to follow their lead in joining the Big Brother Big Sister program.
This is the second year Newton has showed up for the end of year party.
