Car dealers to receive new temporary license plates

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles will soon begin sending vehicle dealers new 30-day tags to use on vehicles awaiting permanent registration and licensing.
The new temporary tags have a larger expiration date written in red and are designed to be more secure.
The new tags will be sent to dealers within the next week.
