CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A truck leaking an unidentified substance prompted an evacuation at a plant in Charlotte Thursday morning on concerns of the material being hazardous.
The Charlotte Fire Department's HazMat team responded to a resin plant in the 3300 block of Westinghouse Boulevard in the 10 o'clock hour on Thursday morning.
NBC Charlotte's crew on the scene learned a truck pulled up to the plant and was leaking out an unidentified substance; that's what prompted the HazMat response.
A total of 45 people were evacuated from the business, but have since returned.
No injuries have been reported.
The Charlotte Fire Department is investigating. We'll update with further details as they become available.
