CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A man wanted in the murder of a west Charlotte woman has been arrested in Baltimore.
Maryland State Police arrested 41-year-old Thomas Davis Monday afternoon.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they tracked Davis to Winston-Salem and then learned Davis had fled North Carolina. Local police worked with authorities in Maryland to find and arrest Davis.
Davis is accused of beating and stabbing to death Linda Wise in her home on Effingham Road just off Tuckaseegee Road in west Charlotte in August.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say Davis will be transported from Maryland to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
