CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A 36-year-old Charlotte woman has been charged after police say she struck a person walking along a northwest Charlotte road while driving early Sunday morning.
The incident happened just before 5 a.m. when a person was struck while walking along Moores Chapel and Sam Wilson roads just west of Interstate 485.
Angelina Marie Ramirez was charged with felony hit and run-failure to stop. She was placed in a Mecklenburg County jail on a $5,000 bond.
The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
