CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A small child was attacked by a golden retriever Monday night.
It happened just off Bear Mountain Road near Mount Holly Huntersville Road.
The child was conscious and alert but was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with possible life threatening injuries.
An animal control officer was called to the scene, but it's not clear what happened to that dog.
