CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A small storm system is moving through the Charlotte region on Election Day.

This system will bring cooler temperatures, clouds and scattered showers through Tuesday afternoon.

The rain will be very scattered and very light. The chance of rain is just 30 percent, according to the First Warn Storm Team.

Temperatures will only be in the upper 40s to around 50 for today, forecaster Larry Sprinkle said.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and cool with temperatures falling into the mid-30s. The chance of rain is 20 percent.

On Wednesday the rain will move out, but it will be mostly cloudy and cool with temperatures falling into the mid-30s, according to the First Warn Storm Team.
