DWI checkpoint sends dozens to jail

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- A DWI checkpoint sends dozens to jail and more than 100 people home with citations this weekend. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police set up on Eastway Drive near Howie Circle.

Officers say 20 people were charged with DWI, four others were hit with drug charges, and one warrant was served.

In all, officers wrote 139 citations and arrested 24 people.
