DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Kudzu-eating goats are coming back to Davidson College for a second course in October.
The college brought the goats in over the summer to battle a kudzu problem on the trails behind campus where students and neighbors often walk, run and ride bikes.
The goats ate 5.5 acres of kudzu on their first trip. Now they’re coming back next month to eat more and help clear more kudzu.
The goats eat 12-18 pounds of kudzu a day. Davidson College spent $3,000 to rent the goats on their first trip.
