Next-door hotel evacuated
Just two buildings away, officers moved to the nearby Golden Green hotel at 3024 East Independence Boulevard and evacuated the building due to smoke around 5 a.m.. It's unlikely that the two incidents are related, police said.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the smoke.
