CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte firefighters were called to a home in northwest Charlotte Monday afternoon.
Heavy smoke poured out of a home on the 4700 block of Brooktree Drive north of Freedom Drive.
Firefighters were able to control the fire within a few minutes upon arriving on scene. No injuries were reported, according to emergency crews.
Officials are saying the fire started somewhere in the home's kitchen.
