GASTONIA, N.C. -- A restaurant in Gastonia caught fire early Tuesday morning becoming the third fire in the last 24 hours in Gastonia.
The Longhorn Steakhouse on Cox Road caught fire around 4:45 a.m. The two-alarm fire was fought by nearly 30 firefighters and brought under control in about 45 minutes. , according to officials.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Gastonia/Gaston County Fire Investigation Task Force. This is the third fire in the last 24 hours in Gastonia.
A home in Gastonia was destroyed Monday afternoon when a propane tank leaked gas before catching fire just seconds after the homeowner escaped.
The second fire was at a vacant office building which was intentionally set by an arsonist Monday evening.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury to his leg while battling the fire at the restaurant, according to officials.
