CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Fires damaged two separate homes in Charlotte early Monday morning.
The first fire started at a home off of Cottonwood Park Drive near Valleydale Road around 3 a.m. The second fire happened at a home on Prosperity Church Road at 3:30 a.m.

The fire completely destroyed the home off of Cottonwood Park Drive. The home on Prosperity Church Road was heavily damaged, according to fire officials.
No one was injured during the fires and both homes were unoccupied.
Officials have not said if there is a connection between both fires.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of both fires.
