GASTON COUNTY, N.C. -- A fire destroyed a home in Gaston County early Friday morning.
The fire started in a mobile home on Badger Drive around 2:40 a.m.
When firefighters arrived on scene, the home was fully engulfed in flames coming from the roof, windows, and doors of the dwelling.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in 40 minutes. The home was vacant during the fire, according to officials.
No injuries were reported.
The resident of the home was staying elsewhere at the time of the fire, according to officials.
Firefighters from Crowder’s Mountain Fire & Rescue, Union Road Volunteer Fire Department, Bethany-Santiago Volunteer Fire Department, and Bethel Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the call.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Gaston County Fire Investigations Task Force.
