2-alarm fire breaks out in Spencer's Historic District

SPENCER, N.C. -- Rowan County officials say fire crews responded to a a two-alarm residential fire in Spencer on Thursday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to the home in the 600 block of 3rd Street just before 10:30 Thursday.

The home, in Spencer's historic district, had flames coming from the roof when fire crews arrived on the scene.

Four adults were home at the time of the fire, but no injuries were reported.

The cause is under investigation.
