GASTONIA, N.C. -- A fisherman's body was recovered from Robinwood Lake early Thursday morning, but officials said no foul play caused the death.
Gaston County emergency officials said they received a call about a missing fisherman on Robinwood Lake around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
A family member reported Robert Scott Dula, 36, missing after they could not find him after several hours of searching.
Emergency crews responded to Robinwood Lake and launched a boat.
They found Dula’s boat on shore and shortly before daybreak located Dula's body near the boat in the water.
Authorities have ruled the incident an accidental drowning.
