CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Santa made his list and checked it twice -- and according to the children NBC Charlotte spoke with Christmas Day, he's already working on next years list.

At the Charlotte Douglas airport Tuesday night, a lot of happy children were waiting for luggage filled with new toys, and the kids know just where it all came from.

How did 9-year-old Kendall Herrick think Santa’s night went? “Probably crazy, because he has to go all around the world and give presents to the boys and girls."

How did 8-year-old Kendall Pavich think Santa knew what she wanted? “He watches me every day so I probably tell my parents what I want and then he hears me."

Are there any other ways to make sure Santa brings you what you want?

"My dad says he has him on speed dial. I tell my dad to call Santa,” said Olivia Thonissen, 11.

Brianna Leidy is confident she knows how Santa delivered her new television. “His sled!”

The children all said that Saint Nick needs the sled to fly fast.

“So he can go to every house in every state in every country,” Pavich explained.

She also spoke about the half eaten treats she left for the man in red. “Cookies and milk. He left some of them and he didn’t drink all the milk."

When pressed about what she thought that meant, Kendall said, "His belly was really full!”

And what do the children think Santa is up to today after his busy night?

"Looking at the boys and girls to see what they’re gonna get next year."

Here's to hoping you made the "Nice" list. Merry Christmas.
