CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two firefighters suffered minor injuries during a house fire along South Boulevard Tuesday morning. 

Firefighters were called to the scene around 6 a.m. after a reported fire at a home in the 6500 block of  Wisteria Drive.

Charlotte fire officials said it took a crew of 27 firefighters a little more than 40 minutes to put out the fire. 
 
Two firefighters was taken by Medic to a local hospital for heat-related issues.  
 
All lanes of South Boulevard were closed for about an hour, but crews were able to reopen all lanes around 8 a.m.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
