CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Latin American Coalition of Charlotte led and participated in a march and rally for Immigration Reform in uptown Charlotte Wednesday afternoon.

Joined with United 4 the Dream, Familias Unidas and Action NC, they began their march at Veteran’s Park on Central Avenue, then proceeding through Uptown to Marshall Park.
Coalition officials say they are showing support for all the immigrants who have been separated from their families in deportations. The Coalition, along with Action NC, are working to cancel, close or delay the deportations of five of its members,
Four buses from North Carolina with members from all the groups and the community are also traveling to Washington, D.C. to be part of a national rally for immigration reform.
