CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Attorneys are once again questioning potential jurors in the Demeatrius Montgomery trial after jury selection was put on hold Friday.
Attorneys from both sides decided to stop jury selection Friday to investigate new information in the case.
On Monday morning, attorneys said the information was newly discovered notes from Detective Arvin Fant. On the first day of trial last week, Fant admitted that he had discarded some of his investigation notes.
Some of the new notes include information that Fant thought he had discarded.
Attorneys for both sides agreed that the new notes did not contain information that should stop the trial from continuing.
Montgomery is accused of killing Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers Jeff Shelton and Sean Clark in 2007.
Jury selection began Wednesday. So far, no jurors have been seated, and 11 prospective jurors have been dismissed.
