Kangaroo Express
MONROE, N.C. – A knife-wielding man wearing a green mask and green socks on his hands robbed a Monroe convenience store Sunday night, police say.
The incident took place at the Kangaroo Express at 3503 Weddington Road around 11:15 p.m.
The thief demanded cash after showing a kitchen knife to the male clerk once he entered the store.
Police say the suspect stole cigarettes as well as $50 in cash before running out of the store.
A K9 unit was called to the scene to try and track the man.
