CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- We’ll see Carolina blue skies Wednesday with cooler than average temperatures, but get ready for a nice warm-up.
Clouds will start to move into the Charlotte area on Thursday and Friday. Rain will move in for the weekend.
The average high this time of year is 52 degrees. The high temperature on Wednesday is 51 degrees. Winds will be from the northwest at 7-14 mph.
Friday will be warm with a high of 62 degrees and it will only get warmer as we go into the weekend.
“We’ll see a slight chance of showers on Saturday with a high of 68 degrees,” said Larry Sprinkle of the First Warn Storm Team.
The Carolina Panthers face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium. “A few raindrops are possible with a high of 72 degrees,” Sprinkle said.
The warm weather continues on Monday with a high of 62, but then temperatures take a dive. Tuesday the high will be 49 degrees.
“For the people who prefer colder weather for Christmas, it will be here,” Sprinkle said.
