Man arrested after stealing car to sell for scrap metal

OAKBORO, N.C. -- Stanly County authorities arrested a man after he stole a car and tried to sell it as scrap medal on August 28.

Joshua Hartsell, 21, stole a 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass from a New London woman's yard. Police located the vehicle at Park Motor Company Inc.

Hartsell was charged with felony larceny and is currently in Stanly County Jail under a $2,500 bond.
