HICKORY, N.C. -- A suspect is under arrest, accused of shooting and killing a man inside an apartment in Hickory.
Police say Jorge Garcia, 30, of Conover, shot a man in the chest at the Hickory Trace Village West apartments on Fifth Street Northeast around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Officers say they found Garcia walking around near the apartment when they arrived. He and the victim knew each other, they say.
