LANCASTER, S.C. –  Three men have been arrested after a weekend armed robbery attempt at a Lancaster home that ended with a 2-month-old baby in the hospital.

According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, three men tried to rob a home on Clearwater Drive Sunday.

Residents told police that the group of masked men with guns broke into the home while everyone was asleep.  According to the police report, one man pulled the baby from a woman’s arms and held a gun to the child’s head while demanding money.

"The victims reported that the man then threw the baby down the hall,” the report states.  “At this point the male resident in the home charged the suspect and they began fighting.”

Eventually all three men fled the scene.

Bradone Marquiz Wagner, 28, of Winston Salem was arrested later on Sunday.  Police have since arrested Jamarcus Patterson, 29, and Christopher Bernard Clinton, 28, of Lancaster.

The baby was taken to CMC Levine Center with a head injury and was released from the hospital Wednesday.

“We are thankful that the child has been released from the hospital and was not more seriously injured,” said Lincoln County Sheriff Barry Faile.

Patterson has been charged with first degree burglary, attempted armed robbery, first degree assault and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.  Clinton and Wagner are charged with first degree burglary and attempted armed robbery.

Wagner and Patterson’s bonds were denied, and Clinton has not had a bond hearing.
