BURLINGTON, N.C. (AP) -- Authorities say a man has been killed after he was struck by an Amtrak train pulling into the station in Burlington.

Investigators said the collision happened around 6:15 p.m. Saturday with a train on the way from Raleigh to Charlotte.

The train stopped just yards from the station, but authorities kept it in place for an hour as paramedics helped the victim and police investigated.

Authorities identified the victims as 26-year-old Reginald Clark. The investigation into Clark's death continues.

No one on the train was injured.
